Terms of Service
These Terms explain the rules for using SafeSway, including the website, web app, Android APK, account system, and related messenger services.
1. Using SafeSway
By using SafeSway, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Accounts
You may need an email address, username, display name, and password to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. Use a strong password and protect the email connected to your account.
3. Privacy and encryption
SafeSway is built for private communication and encrypted messaging. However, no online service can guarantee perfect security, uninterrupted operation, or complete anonymity. End-to-end encryption protects message content, but technical data needed to operate the service may still exist.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use SafeSway to abuse, threaten, harass, impersonate, spam, distribute malware, violate the law, exploit minors, infringe intellectual property rights, or interfere with the service. We may limit, suspend, or terminate accounts that create security, legal, operational, or abuse risks.
5. User content
You are responsible for the content you send or upload. SafeSway does not claim ownership of your messages, but you give us the limited technical permission needed to transmit, store, synchronize, and deliver encrypted content as part of the service.
6. Android APK and updates
If you install the Android APK, you are responsible for installing it from the official SafeSway source and keeping it updated. Updates may change features, security behavior, compatibility, or availability.
7. Service availability
SafeSway may change, pause, remove, or discontinue parts of the service. We may perform maintenance, respond to security incidents, or restrict access where necessary. We do not promise that the service will always be available or error-free.
8. No resale or misuse
You may not resell, sublicense, scrape, reverse engineer, overload, or exploit SafeSway except where allowed by law or with written permission.
9. Disclaimers and liability
SafeSway is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent allowed by law, SafeSway and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business; or unauthorized access caused by factors outside our reasonable control.
10. Termination
You may stop using SafeSway at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if we believe an account violates these Terms, creates risk, or is required to comply with law or protect the service.
